Sitting here waiting for a photographer from BT Tradespace to come and take some pictures. No idea what they’re looking for and more than a bit nervous about the whole thing.
Update later, after it’s over, or possibly during the shoot!

I have sitting on my desk an Indigo Essences Sleep Easy candle in need of a home.
Would you like it?
Then place an order over £10 with Ethics Trading and tell me you want it in the order comments space. I’ll pop the candle into the next order that meets those criteria. Simple as that.
Will it be you?

I’ve used a few different shopping systems on Ethics Trading, from the simplest paypal buttons through to the fully integrated cubecart. I like the full systems with all the bells and whistles on, but they tend to be a bit clunky for customers, especially at the part where you have to register and some even make you wait while your registration is verified before you can buy anything. Anyone else found squidoo yet? I discovered it as a networking, information based site about a year or so ago and I really didn’t like it. It was slow, not intuitive and the help pages were no help at all. So I abandoned my account and ignored it.
Until now. Read the rest of this entry »

Time to make a fresh batch of comfrey based plant food to see us over the winter. So, cleaned out the bucket and used the sludge in the bottom, diluted, to feed the pumpkins. Then cut back all my comfrey – the flowers have just about gone over now – and shredded the leaves into the bucket, it half filled it! Add a liberal layer of fresh hen poo, top up with water and leave to stew for a couple of weeks. Should be ready to give everything a couple of feeds through the winter, and start off feeding in spring.

Just upgraded to a new version of wordpress – hope it’s not broken anything. You’ll let me know if it has? Please do comment or email if you find something not working or missing.
Also just uploaded some new toothpaste, in fennel flavour to the shop. Fennel is just as refreshing as mint for those who don’t get on with mint and catering to those on both sides of the added fluoride argument – it comes in fluoride and fluoride free! However, both varieties are free from SLS, sweeteners, artificial flavours and enhancers and also free from preservatives.
As always, postage is free on all orders to any destination but bear in mind that UK deliveries will be sent via second class post and overseas will be send by surface mail.

Ethics Trading is an online retailer so we don’t have a physical presence on your high street, or in your local shopping centre. However, other than the obvious main Ethics Trading website, we are in a number of places on the web!
You can find us at:
You will probably come across me as a forum poster in other places but those are the main places where Ethics Trading is my focus. Do drop into one of them and say Hi, I’d love to see you.

How many large corporations are now telling us that they’re “Ethical” now? How many big businesses seem to think that by using the word they can seem somehow better?

No surprisingly hefty shipping charges at the last stage of checkout and no handling fees.
No unexpected costs at all, it’s all transparent and open, the price of each item at Ethics Trading is what you pay, regardless of destination. Yes, anywhere in the world but bear in mind any order placed using free shipping will be sent by the cheapest means possible which means second class or standard parcel post within the UK and surface mail for overseas.
