Yes we did.

We did put the bin out, less than half full – but to put it into perspective this is our Green bin with accumulated cardboard and the few bits of garden waste we can’t compost and it all goes to the council’s recycling centre. So nothing went into landfill from here this week. We also took 35 items to the Tesco recycling centre – it counts them for us and tells us how many things we put in. That’s not counting the plastic bags and other wrappings that we put in the space for those. It was 2 big cloth bags full anyway.

We also had a long chat with one of the staff in Tesco when DD asked loudly, “Will they recycle that?” when she spotted one of those large cage trolley things filled to the top with squashed plastic and cardboard. The woman filling up the carrots then had a long chat about how they separate it all in the warehouse and recycle everything.
